Group 41 provides the client with advice on physical or other security measures that should be applied to minimize loss or damage of property, information and technology. The analysis is based on the security perimeters namely:

BUSINESS CONTINUATION CONSULTATION (BCP)

Group 41 provides in-depth consultation and hands on assistance to create and advise on the management of the Business Continuation Plan.The aim of the BCP is to plan for contingencies in the event of disasters, emergencies, criminal acts and acts of terror which may effect the business.

The Business Continuation Plan (BCP) is based on Continuation of the Business as a whole. It is aimed at defining Crisis Management Reporting, Emergency Management Reporting, coordination centers, reporting structures, reporting contact numbers, identification of alternate locations for business continuation, management structures and coordination centers. The BCP is focused on contingency planning which will enable the business to be up and running in the shortest possible time. Identification and consolidation of existing disaster planning into concise BCP applications based on the following:

  • Crisis and Emergency Management Structures, reporting and action planning.
  • Definition of Crisis and Emergency
  • Development of Hierarchy structures and Business Groups (Key role players/Groups)
  • Determining group requirements and alternate locations.
  • Consolodation of Security/Safety/Facilities/MIS-IT/Human Resources Disaster Planning
  • Consolodation of Policy and Procedure: Emergency Contingency Plan
  • Inward / Outward evacuation activities
  • Consultation and interaction with Department heads and Key role players.

DISASTER AND EMERGENCY RECOVERY (DRP/ERP)

Group 41 assists the client with executing Disaster Planning and Emergency Planning procedures, the DRP/ERP goes hand in hand with the BCP applications. The ERP / DRP is aimed at staff education and implementation of an annual emergency drill. The following is included in the plans:

  • Evacuation procedures
  • Remaining in the building procedures
  • Fire evacuation
  • Medical assistance
  • Explosions
  • Bomb scares
  • Hostage situations
  • Criminal activities
  • Hazardous Chemical (HAZCHEM) evacuations and procedures
  • Natural disasters (earthquakes and tornado's)

SECURITY COMPLIANCE

The Security Awareness Compliance is a conventional prevention strategy aimed at providing a prospective home owner, ex-pat or key role player in an organisation with an unbiased security assessment of the new infrastructure, providing assistance with armed response companies and to provide the prospective home owner with practical pro-active security advise. The Compliance is based on the three E's namely Engineering, Education and Enforcement.

Engineering aspects: (All aspects which create a safe and secure environment by means of physical security)

  • External Perimeter - Pavement, walls, garden, lighting, driveway, gates, gate motors, external based locks, clear zones etc.
  • House Perimeter - Security gates, doors, sliding doors, locks, windows, burglar bars, lighting, mirrors etc
  • Internal Volumetric - Safe zones, fire safety, security gates, locks, viewing, lighting
  • Alarm Protection - External, perimeter and volumetric protection, panic systems etc.

Education aspects : (All aspects which create a safe and secure environment through proactive actions by household)

  • Protection at Home - Home protection strategies including the external and internal environment, people, warning signs, children and teenagers. Avoiding hijacking situations and how to react.
