SECURITY AWARENESS WORKSHOPS/TRAINING
Group 41 through the Security Awareness Product,
offers an additional means of security which is often overlooked. The
product provides a pro-active prevention measure to people that assists
them with the knowledge and skills to prevent themselves from being
placed in a criminal situation and shows them how to react in a
criminal situation.
The Security Awareness Workshop is offered to any
people who wish to increase their awareness and preventative measures
regarding crime in South Africa. This includes all business employees,
drivers, company representatives, students in hostels, schools,
travellers from overseas, ex-pats, teachers, families and community
organisations.
The direction of information in the workshop is determined by the needs of the client. The following is offered:
- Insight into Crime - The "know
your enemy" Module. On overview of crime, the criminal, causes of crime
(Biophysical, psychological, socio-economic factors and the criminal
profile)
- Protection at Home - Home
protection strategies including the external and internal environment,
people, warning signs, children and teenagers. Avoiding hijacking
situations and how to react.
- Protection at Work - Protection at work that focuses on documentation security, general office security and office politics.
- Protection while driving - The
anti-hijacking link to protection at home. It deals with planning
ahead, defensive driving, road rage, motor vehicle accidents and police
stops.
- Protection when out - This module deals with the Boyd loop, levels of alertness, the AWARENESS composite and travel safety.
- Personal protection - The when it
happens module dealing with confrontation, fear, close quarters
protection and non-lethal weapons.
- Worst-case scenario - Deals with the basics of being a victim, rights and treatment.
